Stationery, Egypt, Microbeats
Thursday, November 29th, 2007Up early. Worked yesterday and today with Joel Lipman of Toledo, who gave me an interesting idea for stationery I’d like to make. Tonight I think there’s a lecture on Sexuality in Ancient Egypt, or some such, and it’s pub night. Le Concorde news abounds; I should propose a site/blog to Stephen. BR writes that his technological prowess is expanding and he has a dj gig at an art opening Saturday. I’ve long had an image in my mind of dj’ing gallery openings, using traktor to mix together only my own ambient material: microbeats, pads, field recordings (I do not yet have a field recorder–if I still don’t have one by next semester, I’m sure I can check them out from the school).
It’s 19F out. XO on its way. My turn to make dinner.
