Stationery, Egypt, Microbeats

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

Up early. Worked yesterday and today with Joel Lipman of Toledo, who gave me an interesting idea for stationery I’d like to make. Tonight I think there’s a lecture on Sexuality in Ancient Egypt, or some such, and it’s pub night. Le Concorde news abounds; I should propose a site/blog to Stephen. BR writes that his technological prowess is expanding and he has a dj gig at an art opening Saturday. I’ve long had an image in my mind of dj’ing gallery openings, using traktor to mix together only my own ambient material: microbeats, pads, field recordings (I do not yet have a field recorder–if I still don’t have one by next semester, I’m sure I can check them out from the school).

It’s 19F out. XO on its way. My turn to make dinner.

New site, new blog, new life. It’s cold outside, I’m listening to James Blackshaw; tonight we supposedly rest in a hot tub and then come home and make pizza from scratch (lately we bake). Love, C
